About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Integration Engineer to join our team.
You must be an expert in building, operating and optimising application integration pipelines in a hybrid architecture that spans across on-premises, cloud and SaaS offerings from third party vendors such as Salesforce, JDE, SharePoint and Building Management Systems.
Apart from being a hands-on expert, you will also provide thought leadership to continuously improve the enterprise application integration architecture and participate in proof-of-concepts to investigate emerging integration technologies in order to advance the capabilities required to deliver best-in-class state-of-the-art solutions.
Design, build, deploy and operate scalable Enterprise Integration pipelines across distributed application and data environments hosted in private data centre, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure and other SaaS providers.
Owning and managing the build and release process of Enterprise Integration pipelines using CI/CD tools and APIs such as GitHub, BuildKite.
Developing and automating a testing framework for all enterprise integration pipelines that enables continuous deployment to on-premises Camel based environment and Google cloud services including Kafka, Cloud Pub / Sub and Google Kubernetes Engine.
Deploying automated monitoring processes to collect metrics for all integration pipelines using standard tools and technologies used by Scentre Group – e.g. Prometheus, Grafana
Monitoring the operational characteristics of the integration pipelines ensuring the statistics remains within acceptable limits, with a view to continuously improve the efficiency, quality and transparency.
Maintaining source control branches and performing integrations with merge conflicts.
Facilitating and championing the quick resolution of problems found during the daily build and deployment efforts.
Qualifications and Experience Required
At least 5 years’ hands-on experience in designing, building and operating complex Enterprise Integration pipelines utilising industry standard Enterprise Integration Patterns.
At least 12 - 18 months hands-on experience in designing, building and operating complex real-time events processing pipelines using technologies such as Kafka, Cloud Pub/Sub and Cloud Functions.
Expert in programming and scripting languages (Java, Node.js, Shell scripting)
Experience in open source integration frameworks such as Camel.
Experience developing profiling and troubleshooting java applications, including experience with JEE, JMS, and Tomcat.
Experience designing, developing, and deploying public and private APIs using SOAP, REST, GraphQL.
Significant commercial experience in working with Relational Database Systems (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL databases.
Commercial hands-on experience in developing and deploying solutions using Cloud Distributed Databases such as Google Big Query (highly desirable), Cloud SQL.
Strong understanding and commercial experience in using Kubernetes container management and Docker for deploying data pipelines.
Strong understanding and commercial experience working in Agile teams using methods such as Kanban and Scrum.
A DevOps practitioner and enthusiast who applies DevOps principles to deliver solutions.
BSc or Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering or related area (Highly desirable)
