THE CHALLENGE
University Admissions Centre (UAC) manages admissions services for 27 tertiary institutions across New South Wales and the ACT, supporting thousands of student applications across multiple admission pathways.
As UAC delivered a new Recognition of Prior Learning capability, the underlying platform faced growing operational pressure. Manual deployment processes increased delivery risk, cloud infrastructure costs continued to rise, and the admissions system needed greater scalability and reliability to support future growth.
The challenge was to modernise a business-critical platform while it remained actively used and under continuous development.
